5 Minutes on the Markets – 07/22/25

Jeff FosseGeneral Commentary

I post these videos every trading day, shortly after 8 AM CT. Check back here tomorrow for another update!

New Contract Highs for both Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle. Prices are showing no signs, that I see, of slowing down. Lean Hogs also rebounded nicely yesterday and may also move higher. Grains were weak on Monday and with the exceptions of Soymeal and Chicago Wheat are lower again this morning. Crop Conditions remain at 74% good/excellent for Corn, with mild decline of 68% good/excellent for Soybeans. Winter wheat is about 73% harvested, about average pace, with an average yield of 47 bu/acre. Metal markets are strong, Gold broke out to the upside yesterday and gained over $48.00, Silver jumped 87 cents and Copper remains in a bullish pattern. My charts indicate a new signal in Copper this morning.
