Cattle futures traded higher on Thursday. Live Cattle is flirting with medium-term support and is casting about for a new directional push, I think. Lean Hogs closed lower. Yesterday afternoon’s Hog & Pig report showed an increase in the Hog inventory. Grains are a touch higher this morning, with Corn and Wheat leading the way. They’ve been down all week, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a profit-taking bounce ahead of the weekend and next Monday’s Quarterly Stocks and Planted Acreage reports. This didn’t land in my inbox time to make the video, but Mexico bought almost 120k MT of Soybeans this morning, adding to the 110k MT that Egypt bought yesterday.
