5 Minutes on the Markets – 05/14/25

Live and Feeder Cattle futures remain at elevated levels, but didn’t get a directional push on Tuesday. Lean Hogs rallied, in part due to rollover from June to July contracts. Corn and Wheat pushed lower on Tuesday but closed off their lows in what appeared to be “Turnaround Tuesday” type of trade. Both are lower again this morning. Soybeans and Beans Oil posted strong gains, as traders turn their focus to acreage and demand, respectively. Soymeal bore the brunt of those rallies, as crush traders sold Meal against the other two. Golds, Silver and Copper all lower this morning, as are the Crude Oil and Nat Gas markets.
