Tuesday Evening US Grain Weather Summary

1-5 DAY – The Tuesday afternoon European models are unchanged for the 1-5  day. It has a large area of 1-4″ /25-100mm with a bullseye 4-5″/100-125mm over central Southern Illinois.

6-10 DAY – In the 6-10… Moderate rain that the GFS had over the WCB is shifted to the north over WI, MI, north IND, OH.  This leaves the WCB dry on the Tuesday late afternoon European model. On the other hand, the European model does have significant rains moving back into the central Plains… 1-2.5″/ 25-65mm with 60 to 70% coverage OK, KS, NEB… much like the GFS Model.

11-15 DAY – The European model has widespread 0.5-1.5″/ 12-38mm over  70% of the Plains and most of the Midwest.

CPC FORECAST MAPS–6-10 DAY

The official CPC 6 to 10 day forecast ..shows a large area of below normal rainfall over all of the Midwest, the Delta and the Southeastern states with an area of much below normal over the Deep South.  The western portions of Kansas and Nebraska as well as all the Southwest states and the Rockies are in the above normal rainfall area.  With respect to temperatures, all areas east of the Mississippi River are in below normal and much below normal  areas… while the western Plains and the northern Rockies are in the above normal temperature or much above normal temperature areas.

CPC FORECAST MAPS–8-14 DAY

Rainfall is below normal across all of the Midwest … the Great Lakes and into the Middle Atlantic region but central and lower Plains are back in the Above Normal rainfall areas…  as well as the Southwest states and Rockies.  With regard to temperatures, all the Midwest as well as the northeast into the central Plains is still in the below or much below normal temperature areas.
