VIX Futures

I welcome you to go back in the Walsh archives to the early winter months and check out our report titled ” A Contrarian Thought ” concerning the VIX. This is not an ” I told you so” type of thing because I’ve missed the mark my fair amount of time. Instead I just wanted to take this opportunity to point to an example of how the markets work. In my attempt to stay in tune with a multiple of futures market my number one technique I turn to is Elliott Wave Theory. In terms of why I believe it is a necessary tool to use is that it is directly linked to investor psychology. The market is a difficult puzzle to solve because while you are trying to do this it is constantly changing. The theory is based on the belief that human emotion and crowd behavior is the best way to get a grasp on the market considering how it has moved and where it might be heading next. Driven by sentiment rather it be exuberant or pessimistic market extremes tend to materialize at these times. I personally believe that the course of  the volatility market has changed and conclude premiums will continue to expand. Please follow along with me as I break down this and other markets Feel free to reach out to me at Walsh Trading. Direct Line…312-957-8108
