5 Minutes on the Markets – 04/17/2025

Livestock markets traded higher on Wednesday. Both of the Feeder and Live Cattle markets posted decent gains, continuing the long-term uptrend. There is a Cattle on Feed report due today, after the close. Lean Hogs led the way, however, with the June contract posting a strong bullish gain of almost 3% on the day and the highest close since March 17th. Grains were relatively quiet, but posted some gains. Traders and producers have any eye on the weather forecasts ahead of the long Easter weekend.
