5 Minutes on the Markets – 05/28/25

Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle had a fairly muted response. They were sharply lower, at one point, yesterday due to unconfirmed rumors, but closed well off their lows. Lean hogs appear to have set a “tweezer” low, which may have set them up for a rally. Wheat prices weighed on the Grain /Soy complex yesterday, but this morning they’re a little higher. Corn is having trouble staying above the 200-day moving average and the planting progress data, released after the close, has Soybeans lower this morning.
