Wheat Trades Sharply Lower on Friday

SOYBEANS–  

Soybeans finished the day close to unchanged and close to coming back into an area of support. US beans are now trading at a discount to Brazil following the sell-off. Soybeans likely aren’t staying here and a lot will depend on Sunday night weather.

September ’26 Soybeans (ZSU26) settled at 1171.25 (-1), high of 1179.25, low of 1164. November Soybeans (ZSX26) settled at 1188.25 (-.50), high of 1196, low of 1180.5. Cash price is at 1170 (-1)

September Bean Meal (ZMU26) settled at 314.5 (-3.00) high of 319.9, low of 312.3

September Bean Oil (ZLK26) settled at 67.47 (-.75) high of 68.23, low of 66.66

Meal to Oil ratio (48.35% Meal – 51.65% Oil)

ZSU26 Moving Averages – (1184) 5-day, (1194) 20-day, (1163) 50-day, (1162) 100-day, (1128) 200-day

ZSX26 Moving Averages – (1200) 5-day, (1206) 20-day, (1176) 50-day, (1169) 100-day, (1132) 200-day

ZMU26 Moving Averages – (318.4) 5-day, (318.9) 20-day, (312.6) 50-day, (313.5) 100-day, (315.3) 200-day

ZLU26 Moving Averages – (69.03) 5-day, (71.10) 20-day, (70.97) 50-day, (69.25) 100-day, (61.24) 200-day

CORN –

September ’26 Corn settled at 445.50 (-5.25) (ZCU26) high of 447, low of 438. December ’26 Corn (ZCZ26) settled at 463.75 (-4.75). Cash price is 456 (-3)    

Corn was lower again today. There may have been some end-of-month liquidation taking place today. The 8-14 forecast shows temperatures above normal and the Plains and western part of the Midwest is expected to see below average rainfall.

ZCZ26 Moving Averages – (471) 5-day, (469) 20-day, (460) 50-day, (473) 100-day, (468) 200-day

WHEAT –

September Chicago Wheat (ZWU26) settled at 638 (-25.50), with a high of 665, low of 634.50. December ‘26 Wheat (ZWZ26) settled at 656.25 (-25.25). Chicago Wheat has a cash price of 633 (+2). September KC Wheat (KEU26) settled at 706.75 (-24)     

Wheat was sharply lower today in both Chicago and KC wheat after making a high at 686 in the overnight session. The pattern of overnight buying and regular trading hours selling continues.
