Wednesday’s Grain Stocks report showed old crop soybean stocks down three percent from September 1, 2025 and below last year and the average trade estimate. Despite the friendly report and the March contract holding above 1300 during today’s session, there’s an opportunity to sell any rallies going forward. The dollar has traded higher for the third week in a row and is nearing an 18-month high. The strengthening dollar comes at a time when the market is waiting on Chinese demand following the Golden Week holiday. Soybean meal recently broke over $20 and soybean oil has failed to catch a bid, even with tight domestic supplies. The next WASDE report is scheduled for Friday, October 9.
