12/26/23
The Cattle and Grain Markets all closed higher today, but it was on lite volume. The Cattle markets opened lower this morning, but quietly climbed out of the red and posted gains today. February’24 Live Cattle gained 1.875 today and settled at 170.400. The Feeders also gained today and traded 0.175 higher in March’24 and settled at 224.575. February’24 Lean Hogs were 2.050 lower today and settled at 69.300. The Soybeans closed just under today’s high. March’24 Soybeans gained 12 ¾ cents today and settled at 1319. March’24 Corn gained 7 ¼ cents and settled at 480 ¼. March’24 Wheat gained 20 cents today and settled at 636 ¼. On lite volume trading days, moves up or down should not be heavily relied on. My opinion has not changed on any market. I feel that the Soybean and Cattle Markets will continue to break. It could be a lite volume trade for the rest of the year.
