AG TIME

John WalshGeneral Commentary, Grains

A two sided trade today in beans. The acreage is the next important aspect. The weather has been very ideal. Although it is important to note that the wet weather may be causing some concerns in some areas. This may be nothing in the long run. There is a suggestion of some heat coming in. This will be monitored closely. It is my opinion that the short term concerns to the market are the increase in acres and the global carryovers. Not the Chinese Tariffs. The real problem to overcome is overproduction. A couple things I want to pay close attention to. The new crop crush margins. They are high, it is my belief the meal will ultimately lose to the rest of the complex for various reasons. This will be bearish margins. It is a timing issue now. In addition, acreage increases not only here but all over the globe. The oilseeds will continue to expand. Lets see what Friday brings.

My feelings on corn are static. The Friday report in my opinion may offer an acreage surprise.
