Soybeans closed higher on the day after a 10 cent gain in the overnight session. Treasury Secretary Bessent spoke with China following the completion of the 12 mmt commitment and more purchases are expected. China is expected to buy 25 mmt of US beans through 2028. Crushing in South America is limited right now after selling most of their beans. Harvest is just getting started in Brazil.
