Live and Feeder Cattle posted lower closes on Wednesday and appear as if they’re losing some bullish momentum. I don’t see a “bearish” turn yet, but I do think both of those can trade lower to test the 50-day moving averages. Those have seemingly held as support this year. Lean Hogs closed higher and I expect them to continue higher, perhaps filling the overhead gap or setting new highs in the near future. Grains were weak yesterday and are weak again overnight. Fast planting and decent (not perfect) weather are pressuring these markets. Cotton and Sugar look weak, as well. Until there’s some bullish “news” these markets will continue to trade on what the weatherman says.
