5 Minutes on the Markets – 06/30/25

Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures hooked higher on Friday. Support seems to have held and prices appear ready to make another push higher. Today is historically the most volatile day for Grain and Soy prices. USDA releases Quarterly Grain Stock data and Planted Acreage at 11 AM CT today. Most estimates seem to call for a mild increase in acreage in Corn, Soy and Wheat. Grain Stock expectations seem to be for a decrease in Corn, a mild increase for Soybeans and a slight increase for Wheat, relative to last year.
