I post these videos every trading day, shortly after 8 AM CT. Check back here tomorrow for another update!
Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle both closed on their lows Friday, posting 2 consecutive weeks of losses. Cattle on Feed data and Livestock Slaughter data released Friday after the close could add a bullish spark this week. The whole herd is at 99% of last year, Placements at 92% and Marketings at 90%. Slaughter number declined for the 3rd consecutive week. Lean Hogs closed last week stuck in a trading range, look for a directional break out from last Wednesday’s range. Grains are all in red this morning, as weekend weather was good for crop development. Corn and Soybeans, seasonally, tend to go lower over the rest of June and July. US bomb strikes over the weekend sparked a sharply higher open in Crude Oil, Gasoline and Diesel, but as of this writing, they are all in the red, with Crude Oil some $5.00 off it’s high.
