5 Minutes on the Markets – 06/09/25

Livestock futures closed strong on Friday, with Live Cattle, Feeder Cattle and Lean Hogs all closing at new contract high levels. Demand remains strong with tight supplies, so until these “cash” markets turn down, I would expect the seasonal strength to continue. Grains are mostly weaker overnight, as traders keep an eye toward the weather forecasts. There is a WASDE report on Thursday of this week that will likely move these markets. After gaining some $3.110 last week, Silver has started the week strong, adding another 0.315 as of this writing. Stock Index futures are also starting the week in the green.
